Housing First in Colorado Markets
Released in May 2017, this project, produced by Housing Colorado intern and University of Colorado graduate Alaina McWhorter, analyzed housing first models (HFM) within Colorado. The study, Housing First in Colorado Markets, showcases the primary components of HFM while addressing challenges administrators face in implementing and sustaining HFM within Colorado’s competitive housing markets. Special thanks to all those involved in the development of this study including Housing Colorado, CU Denver-SPA, Dr. Pamela Medina, Dr. Jamie Van Leeuwen, and the many HFM experts willing to share their expertise.

Supportive Services That Reduce Recidivism in Ex-Felons
In November 2016, Housing Colorado hosted a "Housing Ex-Offenders" forum. This white paper explores the role of stable housing in securing services that facilitate successful long term outcomes for individuals leaving the criminal justice system. It makes a compelling case for why more housing services are needed in order to lessen the return rate for ex-felons. Housing is an important factor to encourage healthy reentry into society.
