2026 Legislative Session Update
The Second Regular Session of the 75th General Assembly kicked off on January 14th and Governor Polis delivered his State of the State address on the 15th. Housing remains an issue of top concern for our elected leaders and Housing Colorado has been and will be there to shape legislation that promotes the production and preservation of Affordable Housing statewide. This will once again be a busy year for housing-related legislation and with a budget deficit of ~$850 million, our legislators will have to make hard decisions.

Throughout the session, Housing Colorado will update you on the progress of our advocacy and call on you to take action when it is necessary. You can also follow the legislation we’re working on in our Bill Tracker.
On each of these pieces of legislation that affects the affordable housing community, Housing Colorado is working to make sure the best interests of our industry are realized. We continue to live into our vision that every Coloradan has a safe, healthy, quality, affordable home in a thriving community through our advocacy work at the State Capitol and your voice is vital to the conversation.
