Sara Reynolds, MPA, CAE

Sara Reynolds has over ten years in nonprofit management and deep connections to local officials throughout the state of Colorado. Prior to coming to Housing Colorado, Sara worked as the outreach and membership director for the Colorado Municipal League, a nonprofit representing the interests of municipal government throughout the state. In this role, Sara worked closely with local and state agencies, including housing authorities, redevelopment agencies, municipal and county planning offices and regional transportation authorities, fostering joint initiatives and collaboration for addressing local issues. Sara has held volunteer positions with various organizations including Family Tree, Inc, Mile High Montessori and Family Star Montessori and Early Head Start Center. She currently serves on the executive committee for the Denver Metro Sustainable Communities Initiative. Sara holds a Master in Public Administration (MPA) from the University of Colorado and is a Certified Association Executive (CAE) with the American Society of Association Executives (ASAE). 
  Regan Robertson
Conference and Event Manager

Regan Robertson has over ten years of experience in the hotel services and event planning industry. Most recently, Regan was the senior event manager at the Renaissance Denver Hotel where she sold meeting spaces, forecasted revenues and managed client relations. She is also on the board of the City of Arvada’s Festivals Commission.  Regan earned a B.S. in Hotel and Restaurant Management from Iowa State University in Ames, Iowa. 


Emily Nilsen
Membership and Communications Specialist

Emily Nilsen has nine years of experience in the nonprofit sector. Most recently, she served as Communications Manager for a national association and nonprofit. Emily is dedicated to providing great messaging, content and marketing strategy to the nonprofit sector and is particularly well versed in membership communications, outreach and development. Emily Nilsen has a B.A. in History from Regent University and is currently working toward her Master's in Public Administration at University of Colorado Denver.

Roberta Trujillo
Administrative Associate

A native of Colorado, Roberta Trujillo has over 20 years of experience providing administrative support for a variety of organizations. Most notably as the Communications Manager with the Aspen Board of Realtors, the local membership chapter of the Colorado Association of Realtors. Roberta is experienced with membership-based associations, event support, membership database management, and supporting the work of volunteer committees. Roberta is deeply committed to serving under-served populations and this passion has led to many volunteer experiences within the city that assist individuals and families in taking steps to moving out of homelessness and obtaining affordable housing. 


Emily Parés
Legislative and Research Intern

Emily has spent the last decade working at the intersection of education and politics. She has consulted, managed and supported dozens of candidate campaigns at the local, state, and federal levels, particularly working with teachers to run for office. Emily also served as a high school math teacher and instructional coach in south Texas. Emily is a current member of the Junior League of Denver, the organizing group ENUF Metro Denver, and on the board of New Leaders Council - Denver. Emily earned a Bachelor's degree from the University of Illinois and is currently pursuing a Master's in Public Administration from the University of Colorado Denver. 



Sarah Riopelle

Sarah Riopelle is passionate about association management and communications. She has worked for the Muscular Dystrophy Association where she marketed educational programs for the Northern Colorado community. Prior to Housing Colorado, Sarah worked for the Financial Planning Association as the chapter relations associate where she provided communication and support to chapters across the county. Sarah has a degree in journalism from Colorado State University with an emphasis in public relations.
