Located on the redeveloped former Lowry Air Force Base in East Denver, the site will be part of a beautiful new 70 acre mixed use development known as Boulevard One. The mixed use development features new homes, townhomes, condominiums, a Lucky’s grocery anchored shopping center, restaurants, a movie theatre, parks – and affordable rental and ownership housing. The development of Boulevard One is the last part of the larger 1,800 acre Lowry development that began in the mid 1990’s. Boulevard One Residences is a joint venture between two leading affordable housing providers, Volunteers of America and the Denver Housing Authority. Lowry Affordable Housing Partners’ Boulevard One Residences project has 71 affordable housing units with built-in services which are provided by Volunteers of America. Boulevard One Residences is just a block from the gateway to Boulevard One off of Monaco Parkway at Lowry Boulevard. The beautiful site is adjacent to a new park, open space, and a few blocks from a RTD bus stop. Boulevard One Residences provides 100% of the housing units to households at or below 50% AMI and includes 20 Special Needs units. Financing sources include LIHTC equity, Construction/Permanent Loan, State DOH, City of Denver, public housing disposition funds, and a Federal Home Loan Bank.
