With the 2022 Colorado General Session upon us, you may be wondering how proposed legislation affects your organization and those you serve. Locating information can be confusing, and approaching legislators may be daunting. This webinar seeks to empower you to become an effective advocate on affordable housing issues.

The webinar will cover the following topics:

  • How to locate your elected officials and their contact information
  • How to initiate conversations with elected officials
  • How to talk about the policies that impact your organization and those you serve
  • How to establish long-term relationships and position yourself as a valuable resource

During the legislative session, Housing Colorado will provide bill reports, legislative alerts, and opportunities to testify. Participants of this webinar will be surprised to learn how accessible state lawmakers are and how easy it can be to effectively communicate your organization’s interests.
