Housing needs assessments pose an exciting opportunity and imminent challenge for many local governments across Colorado. Bring your experiences, questions, and resources and join us for a roundtable conversation with other industry professionals. In 2024, the passage of SB-174 established the requirement for certain jurisdictions to complete local housing needs assessments, housing action plans that include affordability and displacement mitigation strategies, and new elements of comprehensive plans that incorporate water supply and strategic growth elements. Of the 165 impacted jurisdictions, DOLA has reported that well over half have completed or are in the process of completing their assessments. Whether you're looking to share your experience, interpret your findings, learn from others' challenges, or pick your peers' brains on how to get started, we invite you to join this interactive, participant-driven conversation! Have a document, link, or resource you'd like to share with the group to review in advance of the event? Email Olivia Czarnecki, Community Engagement Manager, up to 5 days prior to the event and we will include your submission in our Know Before You Go email to all attendees.
