Dear Housing Colorado Members, Sponsors and Partners –
It is with mixed emotions that I announce that I will be leaving my role as Executive Director of Housing Colorado in early May to pursue a new leadership opportunity. Effective May 7, I will be the new Vice President of Operations for the Colorado Oil & Gas Association. My last day with Housing Colorado will be Friday, May 4.
For the past six years, it has been my honor to serve as your executive director. As an industry, you welcomed me with open arms in 2012, demonstrating patience and kindness in those early months while I learned more about your needs as a membership community and began implementing plans to make Housing Colorado stronger, sustainable and responsive to the needs of the affordable housing industry. I worked intentionally to develop a new business model and comprehensive member services that would sustain Housing Colorado for the long term – ensuring that with your support, there would always be an organization in Colorado that advocates on behalf of and continuously strengthens the affordable housing industry in our state. Housing Colorado is strategically positioned to continue providing exceptional service to its members both in the short term, and in the future. I am excited for what the future holds for you.
As a leader, my priority over these years was to build an organization that is the embodiment of the passion and integrity that is demonstrated by our members every day in the work that you do in our communities. I am so proud of what we have all accomplished together. I want to extend a special thank you to all our volunteers, our exceptional Housing Colorado Board of Directors, and most especially to our amazing staff. We are only as good as the people who surround us, and I have been blessed beyond measure with your collective support.
With deepest appreciation,
Sara Reynolds
